The High School students from the Career Technical Education Center – Construction
Department are excited to share with you the tour home they helped create through a
public-private partnership between Salem-Keizer School District (CTEC) and Advanced
Construction Education, ACE, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization made up of local Salem
and Keizer business and industry professionals.
ACE provides the land, funding, license and expertise to build the home and the
Salem-Keizer School District through CTEC provides the student construction labor
and instructors.
Students were involved in the construction of this home from groundbreaking to final
finish. Assisted by dedicated teachers and industry professionals the students were able
to build and finish this home in time to enter it into the “Tour of Homes” and will be onsite
to meet you and point out the interesting features of the home.
Daniel Dorn of Sunco Homes & Remodeling serves on the ACE Board of Directors and
was the RMI oversite contractor for this home.
